Little Bits of a Little Bit's Life

Maybe they'd have to hold each other when it rose, all organe and full and close. Maybe that's where our romantic notions about the moon first came from. Two people holding each other to keep their hearts from breaking, because everybody they knew was dying in the cold rocks and dust piles a quarter million miles away...

Just a blog to say "Hello!" from the Oslo Gaerdemon airport! This is proof that wireless is everywhere, although in some places it is not free.

I love this airport! It's so beautiful, with wood floors at the gates and wood gate agent desks and lots of pretty glass and so forth. Plus, it's efficient. I made it from the train (two escalators down) to my gate in under ten minutes, including security checkpoint and checking a bag (because baggage allowances are stupid in Europe and they wouldn't let me get away with my backpack AND a duffel). I wish American airports were like that too. Granted, the US is much more a target for terrorism than is Oslo, but still, I thought I had to get up and make the very first train, and I was worried about being at the airport too late (I would be there at just before 7, my flight leaves at 8:05). But geez, I could have left on the 6:30 train and still made it here with time to spare. Sigh. I'll remember that next time :P

I'm off to Paris. See you next week!
