This post stuck a chord with me: http://mu-warrior.blogspot.com/2005/12/punishing-dental-school-student.html. If everything really transpired that way, that guy Lynch should be handing in his resignation ex-post-haste. Except when blogging information and/or opinions violates other contracts or becomes libelous, blogs are clearly covered under free speech laws. This student is entitled to his own opinion, and he is entitled to share that opinion regardless of both the means of distribution and the content of the opinion. Moreover, the page is the personal property of the student, not the university, and they have no jurisdiction to control its content. Lynch is so far out of line that I am simply appalled. If justice were to be served, he would be the one whose career is over.
