Maybe they'd have to hold each other when it rose, all organe and full and close. Maybe that's where our romantic notions about the moon first came from. Two people holding each other to keep their hearts from breaking, because everybody they knew was dying in the cold rocks and dust piles a quarter million miles away...

Please welcome two news beauties to my family!
Ruckus, my most adorable little baby girl! She bounds like a bunny (both feet leave the ground at the same time, and return together too), and she is so energetic. She's incredibly inquisitive and smart - I just started playing music on Lily (Slightly Stoopid - great band!) and she woke up from her nap and was like, What the hell?? with these big eyes and ears cocked towards the laptop. Now she's pacing around it sniffing it. Awww! We put fake nail tips on her claws to prevent her from scratching stuff up, and it has the added benefit of prevent her from jumping on most things since she has zero traction. Good plan, eh? ;) The cutest thing about her though is that her purr motor doesn't seem to have an off switch. I don't think I've ever heard her NOT purr - she purrs when she's chasing the leash or a mouse or stuck in a cabinet or napping underneath some blankets. She probably even purrs when she's in the litterbox (she goes psycho in there, btw - makes mountains out of all the litter, both inside and outside the box). For more pictures, including two movies of her attacking a mouse toy, visit my website.

This girl is a little older, but she's pretty fine still :) She is definitely turning some heads on the road. Yesterday I was at a stoplight and this woman calls out to me, "Are you of Scandinavian descent?" I was like, um, "I'm Polish actually." Turns out she was from Austria. I met somebody while driving!! How often does that happen to you??
